Working as a Machine Operative, your role will revolve around the operation and maintenance of production machinery. As such your daily duties will include:
- Setting up machinery for operation
- Starting machinery and making adjustments to production machinery when necessary
- Operate production machinery and equipment according to instructions
- Troubleshoot issues and performance maintenance
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Ensure the cleanliness of production machinery
To be successful in this Machinery Operator role you will ideally have previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similarly relevant experience, ideally with a degree of engineering knowledge. Combined with:
- Great attention to detail
- A thorough understanding of production and plant processes
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- The ability to follow written and oral instructions
- The ability to work in a team
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Willingness to work in shifts
