Connect Appointments are currently seeking a Forklift Driver to join our client’s facility in Stafford, Staffordshire.

What’s on offer?

• Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
• £11.44 per hour – paid weekly

Working as a Forklift Driver, your duties will include, but not limited to:

• Undertaking all aspects of the waste collections on-site: including baling of recyclable wastes
• Operating a forklift truck to collect waste from various users on-site and return to the waste compound facility
• Operating a forklift truck for unloading and loading of vehicles
• Carrying out housekeeping of operational areas on an ongoing basis
• Proactively reporting safety concerns and improvement opportunities
• Operating in accordance with current legislation, company procedures, site procedures and site rules

To be successful in this FLT role, you will have a current forklift license, with previous experience operating a forklift in a busy environment. Combined with the following skills and traits:

• Full Clean Driving Licence
• Enjoy working outside
• Adaptable and good practically with good common sense is an advantage
• Keen and ambitious to lean
• Reasonably fit due to works involves a lot of walking and labouring type works on-site

Our client designs, manufactures, and assembles precision forged and machined components at their fully integrated facility in the heart of the UK.

Working as a Forklift Operator your duties and responsibilities will include:

• A key focus on Health and Safety in the workplace
• Carrying out manual procedures
• Loading and off-loading of various goods
• Load securing
• Paperwork verification’s
• Stock control
• Manual lifting
• Communication with managers, supervisors, and stock control team
• General warehouse duties and housekeeping

To be successful in this position you will have a valid FLT Counterbalance Licence, with previous experience operating a forklift truck within a busy site. Combined with Chemical handling/awareness, COSHH, PPE awareness – beneficial but not essential
