Connect Appointments are recruiting individuals to become a Driver’s Mate with our Spennymoor based clients transport team on a temporary basis.

Working as a Driver’s Mate, your role will be centred around safely delivering and installing customer deliveries. As such, your day-to-day duties include:
- Engaging with customers, keeping them informed and ensuring their delivery and our installation is carried out to the highest standard following best practice guidance
- Maintaining regular contact with the site throughout the day to meet any changes to a customer delivery request
- To handle all products safely and with care, supporting your colleagues to do the same
- To work compliantly, following site specific requirements, company and health and safety policies, to keep the Customers and Colleagues safe
- To carry out the delivery and collection of tote boxes and products from retail stores
To be successful in this role you will be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills, and; ideally have previous experience in the same or similar manual handling role. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong verbal communication, both on the phone and face-to-face
- Use equipment to correctly handle products, ensuring the best practice for a safe delivery
- Ability to use initiative to problem solve in a timely and calm manner to ensure both business and customer needs are satisfied
