Connect Appointments are seeking a Plant Fitter for permanent work in Alva, Scotland!
Our client has been a leading player in the construction market for the last 40 years. As they continue to offer new services to their clients they continue to grow and move forward. We are now working with them to secure the services of a Plant Fitter that can join the business on a permanent basis.
Salary: £35,360 to £43,680 per annum
The ideal candidate will be qualified in plant fitting, to include 360 excavators (1.5 to 16 tonne), 180 machines and telehandlers. We can also consider qualified HGV Mechanics for this position as well. Responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs of plant pieces and machinery
- Following work schedules, ensuring compliance requirements are fulfilled
- Fault-finding and identifying electrical/mechanical issues
- Preparing vehicles in the fleet for MOT/inspections
The successful Plant Fitter will be:
- Experienced in working within a workshop environment
- In possession of a valid driving licence
- A team-player, with the ability to work independently
- Experienced working with HGVs (preferable, but not essential)
